Fuel prices hit five year high in Portugal

By October 8, 2018September 11th, 2021No Comments

Fuel prices have risen to a five-year high following substantial increases overnight in the cost of both diesel and unleaded petrol.

In the case of diesel, a litre will cost 1.42 euros, up three cents on last week’s prices. Unleaded fuel has meanwhile reached 1.60 euros a litre, having gone up by two cents.

The increases are blamed on the rising oil prices on the international markets, which have climbed to their highest value since 2014.

This comes after a study last month revealed that Portugal has the tenth most expensive petrol in the world.
